The would-be heroes of Salem run around in circles, trying to do the right thing, but are faced with tough obstacles. Let us begin with Bo. He tries to do the right thing by stopping Hope from giving the kidnappers the ransom money when he has a vision that seems to indicate Ciara will not survive if she pays the creeps. However, Hope gets mad and relies on Justin for moral support! The cops appear to get a break when clean-cut Salem policeman Dean takes down the two kidnappers to save the day! However, Roman and Bo know something is up. It is just to good to be true, so who is the third man? Dean, of course, yet it will take Theo to help them figure that one out!

Ciara’s kidnapping will make EJ so nervous that for whatever reason, he decides to have complete genetic testing done on daughter Sydney. Just another reason to make Nicole cringe and Stefano scheme!

Now let’s talk Daniel. Chloe’s savior is still trying to save her. He wants to get to her files and then he wants access to her. Brady agrees to help, though the files are not as tricky to arrange as the face-to-face visit. Meanwhile, the doctor’s trial appears to be coming up soon and crazy Kate is on the attack!

As for Philip, his maturity has become a lost cause. He quits again and tries with Steph again and pisses her off again and goes running back to what he had in the first place again. Only this time he will have had yet another lapse in judgement - by having a fling with Mel at a cheap motel. The manager tapes them. Here comes a blackmailer waiting to happen and a controlling Greek father who has to pay out to protect his son another time.
